A man, believed to be 37-years-old, was killed last night after the vehicle he was in collided with a truck at a crossing on the R30 in Orkney.
When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene at 19H51, the vehicle was stuck underneath the truck.
The man was still entrapped in the vehicle and in a critical condition. Unfortunately, shortly afterwards the man succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead on the scene.
The exact circumstances of the incident are not yet known to our paramedics but authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
