The body of an unidentified man has been discovered along Eastbury Drive in Phoenix a short while ago.
At approximately 08:41 members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene by a motorist who noticed the body on the roadside. Upon arrival the deceased was found to have suffered a head injury as well as a fracture to his leg. Rigor mortis was present indicating that the man had died several hours ago.
It is alleged that the deceased was the victim of a hit and run accident. An indicator lens & a mirror belonging to a white vehicle was found a few meters away from the body.
An investigation into the death is currently underway.
