Five people were left injured this morning following a rear-end collision between a light motor vehicle and taxi on Alexander Road in Westmead, KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at approximately 06h50, finding the car and taxi on the left-hand side of the road. The occupants had already climbed out of the vehicle and were found seated on the pavement.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that five had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to RK Khans and Westville Provincial Hospital for further care.
The local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
