While on patrol on the R614 in Esnembe – KZN members of Reaction Unit South Africa came across a 4 year old boy walking aimlessly along the roadside earlier today.
Reaction Officers Goodman Malinga and Lenny Naidoo interviewed the child who explained that he lived at a compound on a farm a few kilometres from where he had been found. He claimed that his caregiver locked him out of his home & he decided to search for his mother who is employed as a labourer on a farm in the Upper Tongaat area. The child provided the Officers with his mother’s name and surname.
The Reaction Officers proceeded to several farms in the area and managed to reunite the child with his mother.
