Two injured in an alleged home invasion in Pinetown

An elderly man and woman were left injured this morning following an alleged home invasion at a residence on Hillview Road in Pinetown, KwaZulu Natal.

ER24 paramedics were called to the scene by Blue Security and arrived shortly before 09h00.  On arrival, paramedics were lead into the home where they found the two patients.  Paramedics assessed the elderly couple and found that the man and woman had both sustained moderated injuries. The man and woman were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to a nearby private hospital for further treatment.

It is understood that the elderly couple had been assaulted by four gunmen had apparently entered the home.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
