Alpha Response Team is on high alert in the Isipingo area following several reported crime incidents of car theft, alleged housebreaking and jewelry conmen/ thieves on the prowl.
The Alpha Team have patrolled the various areas and removed jewelry buyers from Gokul Road earlier (pic 1). This was after two males linked to a jewelry theft/fake jewelry scam were apprehended by an Isipingo Beach CPF member and SAPS in the Isipingo Beach area today.
Residents are warned not to entertain such individuals on or near their property. They can easily dupe you and run off with your jewelry.
Alpha also responded to a report of an alleged house break-in on Platt Drive. The SAPS Flying squad and security companies had responded swiftly. A resident on the road said the vacant property is a target for criminals who jump into the property at free will endangering neighbours as well. It is feared that the property will become a playground for criminals.
