Suspected robber critical after attempted break-in in Acaciavale in Ladysmith

A man, believed to be 18 years old, is in a critical condition after it is believed he was shot by a homeowner in Acaciavale in Ladysmith last night.

At approximately 21h00, ER24 and other emergency services arrived at the scene.

They found the man with a gunshot wound to his jaw. He was treated by ER24 and transported to the Ladysmith Provincial Hospital by other emergency services.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
