Two people aged 18 & 16 were hospitalised following an accident on the R102 near King Shaka International Airport last night (Monday).
At approximately 19:02 members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene by passing motorists requesting assistance for the injured. Upon arrival it was established that a gold Toyota Avanza overturned while travelling on the north bound lane.
An 18 year old back seat passenger was ejected from the vehicle. A 16 year old female was also injured in the accident. The two were treated for their injuries before being transported to Osindisweni Hospital in a stable condition.
Circumstances surrounding the accident has not been established at this stage.
