A man, believed to be 60-years-old, has drowned at Glen beach, situated between Camps Bay and Maidens Cove, in Cape Town this afternoon.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the lifeguards and Community Medics performing CPR on the man. Fire and Rescue was also on the scene.
ER24 immediately took over CPR and initiated advanced life support interventions. Unfortunately, the man died shortly afterwards. ER24 declared the man dead on the scene.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not yet known to our paramedics.
