A 14-year-old boy was hospitalized after a non-fatal drowning incident at a private swimming pool in Bloemfontein.
ER24 paramedics were dispatched to the incident at approximately 18h30.
Upon arrival, paramedics found a number of adults performing bystander CPR on a 14-year-old boy, found lying next to the pool.
ER24 paramedics immediately took over CPR and initiated advanced life support interventions. After a few minutes, the patients vital signs returned.
The young boy was transported, under advanced life support supervision, to Mediclinic Bloemfontein for further treatment.
