Pedestrian Stabbed For Urinating On Driveway in Phoenix, KZN

A pedestrian was stabbed in the back during an altercation on Brayford Place in Sunford – Phoenix during the early parts of this morning.

At approximately 02:36 members of Reaction Unit South Africa were dispatched to the scene after receiving a call from a member of public reporting the incident. Upon arrival, it was established that two men were walking along Brayford Place when one of them stopped to urinate.

A 22-year-old noticed the man urinating on his driveway and confronted him. An altercation broke out between the two when the resident drew a knife and stabbed the intoxicated pedestrian in the back. The injured pedestrian was treated on scene by paramedics from a private ambulance service.

The 22-year-old was placed under arrest and detained at the Phoenix SAPS for further investigation.
