Motor Vehicle Collision in the vicinity of King Shaka International Airport

At approximately 21:22 last night members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called to the R102 in the vicinity of King Shaka International Airport after receiving multiple calls from the public reporting a motor vehicle collision.

Upon arrival it was established that a Toyota Tazz was travelling on the R102 in the direction of Verulam when it collided into a VW Polo that was exiting the M65. The VW Polo was found in a ditch along the roadside. The 44-year-old driver of the Toyota Tazz sustained a head injury while the occupants of the VW Polo were also injured.

They were treated on scene by paramedics from private ambulance services before being transported to Victoria Hospital.
