One person was injured after the bakkie he was travelling in overturned on Hazelmere Road in Canelands yesterday morning.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene by a motorist requesting assistance for the injured man. Upon arrival a Toyota Hilux bakkie was found lying on its side. The front seat passenger sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Osindisweni Hospital in a stable condition.
It is alleged that while travelling down Hazelmere Road the driver of the bakkie attempted to avoid a vehicle in front of him. He lost control of the bakkie which overturned on a grassy patch on the opposite side of the road.
The driver was not injured in the accident.
