A 28-year-old motorbike rider sustained serious injuries in a collision with a light motor vehicle in Robin Hills, Randburg this afternoon.
Shortly before 4pm, paramedics from ER24 arrived on the scene where they found the rider lying in the middle of the intersection at Gemsbok and Winston Roads. He sustained serious facial and chest injuries. Paramedics treated him on scene while an emergency medical helicopter made its way to the scene to airlift him to hospital.
The driver of the light motor vehicle was assessed on scene but found with no injuries.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision is not yet known. Local authorities attended the scene.
