A CZ 83 firearm was one of several items stolen during a hijacking on Mission Road in Missionlands earlier today.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the residence after the break-in was discovered. Upon arrival, it was established that forced entry was gained through the back door. Four bedrooms in the house were ransacked.
An undisclosed amount of cash, jewellery, a replica firearm as well as a safe containing the CZ 88 firearm (see downloaded pic) and 13 rounds of ammunition were stolen from the home. The suspects are believed to have sprayed the dog with pepper spray to prevent being attacked.
It could not be established if a vehicle was used or if the suspects fled on foot.
