Two foreign nationals were arrested in Margate last week after they were found with bags of dagga, Mandrax and cell- phones, which are suspected to have been stolen.
SAPS spokesperson Captain Gerald Mfeka said Crime Prevention constables Sihle Ndlovu and Zwakele Novandla and the Crime Intelligent Gathering Unit, acted on information and went to a residence in Windsor Avenue. “Upon searching, police found two bags of dagga weighing 308g and eight grams, five tablets suspected to be Mandrax and six cellphones believed to be stolen,” said Mfeka.
Suspects aged 26 and 28 were arrested and charged with dealing in drugs and possession of suspected stolen property. They will both appeared in the Ramsgate Magistrate’s Court next Tuesday.
