A drug dealer was arrested by members of Reaction Unit South Africa following a lengthy foot chase in Phoenix – KZN today.
Reaction Officers were on patrol in the area when they noticed a group of men behaving in a suspicious manner. When Officers approached them the group split up and the men ran in different directions. RUSA Members pursued one suspect on foot and after a lengthy chase apprehended him near Mount Royal in Phoenix. Upon searching him a packet which was tied to a string around his waist was recovered. 60 Heroine capsules were found in the packet and R60 in cash was recovered in his underwear. The suspect confirmed that he was in the process of selling the drugs when Reaction Officers intervened.
He was placed under arrest and handed over to Police for further investigation.
