The vigilance and swift action are done by members attached to East London Flying Squad and K9 landed to two suspects behind bars for Possession of firearms.
This took place on the evening of 28 February 2018. They followed intelligence-driven information that led them to the corner of Park Avenue and Worsely in East London where they spotted a described vehicle, during a search, 3 firearms and ammunition were recovered.
They came to sell the firearms in the area. Two male suspects, 37 and 39 years of age, were apprehended. Upon searching the vehicle that was utilized, three rifles, 190 R1 live rounds and 43 shotgun live rounds of ammunition were recovered.
All the firearms have identifiable serial numbers and possible to be linked to a housebreaking case of Beacon Bay that was reported on 24 February 2018. The two suspects will appear before court soon.
