A child, believed to be 7 years old, is in a critical condition after being knocked over by a taxi on Oranje street in Witpoortjie this afternoon.
At approximately 15h40, ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the child had sustained serious injuries after being knocked down by the taxi.
The patient was airlifted to a nearby hospital by the ER24 and One Plan Medical Helicopter for further medical care.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not yet known to our paramedics, but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
