At approximately 10:01 this morning members of Reaction Unit South Africa were dispatched to Marula Circle in Trenance Park – Verulam after receiving reports of a motor vehicle accident.
Upon arrival it was established that as a GWM bakkie was travelling uphill its brakes failed causing the vehicle to roll back downhill. The driver managed to corner a sharp bend in reverse before he climbed an embankment and brought the vehicle to a stop.
The driver was not injured and did not require medical attention.
