Today the Deputy Minister of Police Hon Bongani Mkongi honoured an invitation of the Campus Safety Support Service, invited as a guest and Keynote speaker.
The Launch was held under the theme “creating safe and crime-free learning communities in colleges and universities in South Africa”.
In his main budget vote speech last year he said “The Ministry of Police will also invest in the training and development of school and campus protection services to empower their capacity to deal effectively with school and campus crimes in partnership with the community.
School and Campus protection personnel will be invited to attend the School and Campus policing winter school program to be hosted by the Police academy for skills development in Policing and law enforcement in institutions of learning.”
