Houghton 3 April 2018 – SBV Services confirms that one of the company’s armored vehicles was involved in a collision with a passenger vehicle on Monday 2 April 2018. The vehicle was traveling on the N4 towards Rustenburg at approximately 4 pm when the accident occurred. Mark Barrett Group CEO says, “I can confirm that two SBV crew members were injured in the accident. I am deeply saddened that two passengers traveling in the passenger vehicle lost their lives and wish to extend our deepest sympathies to their families.”
Mark Barrett further adds, “As a responsible corporate citizen, SBV values human life and thoroughly investigates all incidents. Necessary action is taken when procedures are not followed.”
SBV is currently not in a position to disclose any details as the relevant investigations are in its infancy. We are cooperating with the relevant authorities to investigate the incident. Once the details are known and affirmed the relevant action will be taken if applicable. Once again, SBV extends its sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and we wish our employees who were injured in the accident a speedy recovery.
