Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the offices of a commercial mining company situated on the R102 in Frasers after receiving reports of a large snake on the property.
Upon arrival the snake was found behind an outside geyser. It was identified as the highly venomous Black Mamba and measured approximately 2 meters in length. Professional snake catcher Neville Wolmarans from Ndlondlo Reptile Park arrived on scene and captured the snake.
The female snake will be retained by Wolmarans until it is returned to its natural environment.
