Three people were injured when a runaway Toyota Hiace Taxi crashed into vendors in Phoenix – KZN yesterday.
Reaction Officers & Paramedics from Reaction Unit South Africa were dispatched to the scene at 15:26 and found a green & white taxi lodged against a tree. Three people including a 18 year scholar from Phoenix Secondary School suffered injuries & we’re transported to a clinic for further treatment.
According to the taxi driver, the brakes on the vehicle failed. He made several attempts to stop the vehicle, but he lost control & crashed into the vendors.
