A 19-year-old woman was left critically injured this morning following a fire at a residence on Greytown Road in Northdale Road, KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after 11h15 to find the Fire Services already in attendance.
Upon closer inspection, paramedics found a 19-year-old woman outside the property.
Paramedics assessed the woman and found that she had sustained numerous burn wounds, leaving her in a critical condition.
Treatment and advanced life support interventions were immediately initiated, in an effort to stabilize her vital signs.
Once treated, the woman was transported to Greys Provincial Hospital for further treatment.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
