A six-year-old boy has drowned this afternoon in a residence pool in Sasolburg.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at approximately 14h22, finding the local authorities already in attendance.
It is understood that the boy had been pulled from the pool by a family member. The local authorities arrived on the scene and immediately initiated CPR interventions.
Upon assessment, paramedics found that the boy showed no signs of life. Unfortunately, nothing could be done by paramedics and he was declared dead.
The cause of the incident is not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
