Two vehicles collided on Northern Drive in Phoenix while attempting to avoid a herd of cows that were crossing the road this morning.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene after receiving a call from a passing motorist reporting the collision. Upon arrival it was established that that driver of a Chana bakkie attempted to avoid the herd of cows and collided into a Chev Aveo. The occupants of both vehicles were not injured.
Reaction Officers have been called out to several motor vehicle accidents in recent weeks involving unattended cows walking in the path of moving traffic.
In all cases the herdsmen or the owners of the cows could not be traced.
