A Business Burglary at Glen Ivy Shop Meerhof was reported on 07 May 2018. Various items including cigarettes and clothing to the value of R 33 000 were stolen.
Information indicated that the suspects went to an Indian shop near Hercules in Pretoria in an attempt to sell the cigarettes. The suspects were driving a White Isuzu Ldv. Further information indicated that the suspects could be from Ten Rooms in Hartbeespoort.
Members from Hartbeespoort SAPS Crime Prevention Unit proceeded to Ten Rooms and searched for the suspected vehicle, but could not find it. Members continued to patrol the surrounding areas until they spotted the White Isuzu bakkie on the R511. The driver of the vehicle fitting the description was stopped. After interviewing the driver he indicated to the members that he was hired to transport cigarettes to Pretoria. The members cotinued following-up on the information until they arrested three suspects and recovered most of the stolen property.
A case of possesion of stolen property and possesion of housebreaking at business premises were opened. Stolen property, cigarettes and clothing of the complainant were seized. #TrioCrimes
