‘Made for More’ ran the first ever Inaugural KZN Adaptive Surfing Champs this past Saturday, 12th of May on Addington Beach in front of the Marine Surf Lifesaving Club. The surf conditions were glassy, small and perfect for the contestants. The day was filled with waves, joy, friendship and so much surf stoke.
Made for More, an NPO whose focus is on disability sport host monthly adaptive surfing sessions in Durban for anyone who is differently abled and wanting to join their incredible surf therapy community.
The third South African Adaptive Surfing Champs is scheduled to be held in Durban for the first time on the 4th and 5th of August.
Dean Hart (Durban) absolutely ripped throughout the day, winning the best wave of the day as well as the AS 1U (Adaptive Surfing stand up) division on an incredible high score of 14.5 out of a possible 20.
