Missing 104-year-old man man found

The Limpopo police have once more proven that it takes true dedication and passion to serve its citizens.

This became evident when a joint operation composed of members from Saps Matlala, K9 Unit and the Airwing in partnership with members of the community managed to rescue a distraught old man who was reported missing in the Matlala area outside Polokwane.

The 104-year-old man, Nang Kleinboy Mashilo, was reportedly as missing after he failed to return home on 11 May 2018 after he left his home to collect herbs in the nearby bushes.

The operation continued until the old man was found near Prospect village few kilometres from where he last seen. The medical emergency services team who were on standby, confirmed even though he looked tired and disoriented, he was in a satisfactory condition without injuries.

The SAPS Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba has commended this Team of Saps members and other role players who participated in this operation without rest until the victim was found unharmed and alive.
