A 46-year-old woman was left critically injured this morning when she was hit by a train at the Woodstock Train Platform in Woodstock, Western Cape.
ER24 paramedics, along with Life Healthcare and Fire Services, arrived on the scene to find the body of a woman lying on the tracks near the platform.
Paramedics assessed the woman and found that she had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition.
The woman was treated for her injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions before she was transported to Groote Schuur Provincial Hospital for urgent care.
The local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
