A man, believed to be in his 50s, was left critically injured following an industrial accident at a factory in Vanderbijlpark.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 14h04 to find the man lying in a chair.
It is understood that the man had fallen slipped off a ladder, falling two metres. The man was lifted into a chair by his colleagues.
Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained a serious head injury which left him in a critical condition.
The man was treated for his injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the man was airlifted by the ER24 Oneplan Helicopter to a private hospital for urgent treatment.
An investigation will be launched into this incident.
