Two vehicles collided head-on after the driver of an Isuzu bakkie attempted to avoid a pothole on Vincent Dickinson Road in Canelands – Verulam short while ago.
At approximately 18:02 members of Reaction Unit South Africa was called out to the scene by passing motorists. Upon arrival, an Isuzu bakkie and a VW Golf were found blocking one lane of the road. The occupants of both vehicles were not injured however both vehicles were extensively damaged. Traffic was delayed during the salvage operation.
The driver of the VW Golf alleged that she was travelling in the direction of Canelands when the bakkie travelling in the opposite lane swerved to avoid a pothole and collided head-on into her vehicle.
