Our endeavours to bring perpetrators to book were proved by members Kraaifontein police who managed to recover three hijacked vehicles in their area hours apart. Late last night the members were on patrol when they spotted a VW Polo under suspicious circumstances. An investigation revealed that the vehicle was hijacked in Kleinvlei a few days earlier. The driver, a 23 year old suspect was arrested.
At around 10:00 this morning, another Kraaifontein patrol came across two suspects, a 20 year old male and a 26 year old female who were trying to start a VW Golf, but due to the ant hijacking device, they could not succeed. This vehicle was reported hijacked in Kraaifontein during the early hours of this morning. Both suspects were arrested for the possession of a stolen vehicle.
An hour later, Kraaifontein members on patrol were patrolling the Bloekombos area after a bread delivery truck was hijacked. The truck was located and the suspect, a 31 year old male was arrested in possession of an unlicesed 9mm pistol.
All four suspects are expected to make a court appearance in Blue Downs once they have been charged.
