The freedom of three suspects did not last too long after robbing a shop in Mankweng. A 27 years old shop owner was confronted by three suspects who pointed him with firearm and robbed him cash, cigarettes and airtime.
The suspects fled the scene in a white Nissan bakkie. The police were called and swiftly launched a manhunt. The vehicle that the suspects used to flee the scene was cornered at Sebayeng and the trio aged between 30 and 37 years were arrested.
One unlicensed firearm was confiscated, groceries and airtime were also recovered and the vehicle that was used during the commission of crime.
All three suspects will appear before Mankweng Magistrate court soon.
