Taxi rollover leaves twelve injured in Elsies River in the Western Cape.

Twelve people were left injured this afternoon following a taxi rollover on the Owen and 35th Avenue Intersection in Elsies River in the Western Cape.

ER24 paramedics, along with Metro Rescue and Fire Services, arrived on the scene to find the taxi on its roof on the side of the road. The occupants had already climbed out of the vehicle and were found walking around on the scene.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found that all twelve had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found on the scene.

Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to nearby day hospitals for further treatment.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
