Two people including an 8-year-old boy were injured after a taxi collided into their vehicle on Malendela Road in KwaMashu. .
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene by passing motorists reporting the collision. Upon arrival a Toyota Hilux bakkie was found lying on its side. The driver informed Reaction Officers that a Toyota Quantum taxi failed to stop at the intersection and collided into the side of his vehicle causing it to overturn. The taxi then drove off without stopping.
An 8-year-old boy and his mother were injured and had to be transported by ambulance to a medical facility for treatment.
