A thirty year old man is in a critical condition after being struck by a light motor vehicle on Chris Hani Road near Blackburn Road.
Advanced life support intervention was needed to stabilize him before he was placed onto a mechanical ventilator and taken through to Addington hospital for further care.
The cause of the incident will form subject of a South African Police Services investigation.
