Six people were injured following a multiple vehicle collision on the north bound lane of the R102 just passed the Ottawa intersection in Verulam this afternoon.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene by motorists who witnessed the collision. Upon arrival six people were found to have sustained mild to moderate injuries. They were treated on scene by medics from private ambulance services before being transported to hospital.
It is alleged that the front left hand side tyre on a Renault Clio had blew causing the vehicle to collide into a Mazda 323. The Mazda 323 then collided into a VW Polo which knocked into a Nissan Hardbody bakkie.
Traffic was delayed due to the damaged vehicles blocking two lanes of the R102.
