A residential flat in Lombaard Street, Hilton was completely destroyed by fire earlier this morning. Fortunately the residents became aware of the fire very quick and managed to escape without any injuries.
The rest of the complex was evacuated by officials whilst the fire was brought under control by firefighters of the Mangaung Fire & Rescue Service. The cause of the fire is not yet known and will be investigated by the SAPS.
