KZN Transport bids a final farewell to colleague who died in a hit-and-run crash

The Head of Transport, Sbusiso Gumbi, Deputy Director-General: Transportation Services, Fikile Sithole, Regional Commander for Ladysmith, M.V. Mthembu, Ladysmith Station Commander, Dave Steele, members of management and colleagues of the late Thokozani Gcinani Cele, gathered to say a final farewell to their late colleague, and offer their condolences to his family.

Provincial Inspector, Thokozani Cele, who was stationed at Ladysmith RTI, and his colleagues were on duty doing speed arrests. During the operation, a truck failed to stop and crashed into him. Cele died instantly and the driver of the truck fled the scene.
