Thirteen people were injured following a collision involving two taxis on the corner of Oaklands Drive and Todd Street in Oaklands – Verulam this afternoon (Friday).
At approximately 17:26 members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene by passing motorists requesting assistance for the injured. Upon arrival it was established that a fully loaded Toyota Hiace taxi that was travelling towards Redcliffe collided into a Toyota Quantum taxi that exited Oaklands Drive. Thirteen passengers from both vehicles sustained mild to moderate injuries.
They were treated on scene before being transported to Osindisweni Hospital.
