Members of the Steenberg Crime Prevention unit arrested a 34 year old male for the possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition in St Ambrose Circle, St Montague Village. While busy with stop and search operations the members noticed a male walking in the road and when he saw the police vehicle he started running. The members gave chase and apprehended the suspect and confiscated a .38 Special Revolver with six live rounds of ammunition. The suspect is due to make a court appearance once he has been charged.
