A panel beating business was extensively damaged during a fire on Wick Street in the Verulam CBD last night (Thursday).
At approximately 20:16 members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene by the public reporting the fire. Upon arrival Reaction Officers found a garage door leading into the premises bent inwards. The premises which was situated at the back of a service station contained flammable chemicals and was engulfed in flames. Fireman from Ethekwini Fire & Rescue arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire.
It is alleged that the business was broken and set alight however this is yet to be confirmed.
