Two people were injured after the bakkie they were travelling in overturned outside the Verulam Testing Grounds on Umdloti Beach Road in Verulam this morning (Sunday).
At approximately 03:50 members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene by a motorist reporting the incident. Upon arrival a Mitsubishi Colt bakkie was found lying on its side. Two occupants of the bakkie were injured. They were treated by Medics from a private ambulance service before being transported to hospital.
The driver fled the scene of the accident leaving the two injured occupants behind.
