A 64 year old woman was found strangled at her home on Esselen Crescent in Unit 13 – Phoenix.
The discovery was made shortly after a transporter arrived at the residence to drop off the elderly woman’s grandchild after she had finished school. After failing to get her attention he contacted family who arrived at the home and found the front door unlocked. Upon entering the residence the body of the deceased was discovered. She is believed to have been strangled.
A door leading into one of the bedrooms was forced open. A safe has been stolen and a television was found disconnected. The domestic worker has not been located and is a suspect in the murder.
Police are on scene and investigating further.
