A 23 year man was injured after he was run over on Todd Street in Verulam.
Member of Reaction Unit South Africa was on patrol in the vicinity when he witnessed the man jump out of an Isuzu bakkie that was in the process of turning into Himalaya Drive in Everest Heights. A VW Polo that was travelling behind the bakkie then knocked into the Redcliffe resident. It is alleged that the individual was distracted as he had his earphones one and was suspected of listening to music at the time of the incident.
Medics treated him for an injury to his head before he was transported to Osindisweni Hospital in a stable condition.
