Gang Reaction Team arrests two and seize mandrax tablets

In the quest to eradicate gang violence and the drug trade, gang reaction team members followed up in information last night about drug dealing in the Manenberg area which also led them to premises in Goodwood where they arrested two suspects and seized mandrax tablets. During the operation, police seized over a thousand boss mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of just over R60 000-00.

The suspects aged 47 and 52, who are related, will be charged with possession and dealing in drugs. They are expected appear at the Goodwood court soon. Both suspects are believed to have links with a local gang.
