White powder leaves female victim drugged in Mokopane

A medical doctor confirmed to Bosveld that he treated a woman who was drugged on Thursday morning after allegedly touching a white powder that was found on her car where it parked at a local mall.

Dr Jimmy van den Bergh said the woman alleges she wiped the white powder marks from her car, got into the vehicle and while driving to another store she started to feel ill. “At first she thought it was low blood sugar and immediately pulled off the road. She said she felt so bad that she could not even phone her husband and bystanders had to help her to my consulting room.”
According to Van den Bergh, he stabilised her and she is currently recuperating at home.
The Heritage Protect Group (HPG) issued a warning on their Facebook page that criminals put a white substance on vehicles. This unknown substance leads to severe drowsiness and disorientation when touched.
In a voice message sent to various emergency groups on Wednesday, residents are warned against the white substance. In the voicemail it is stated that a truck driver from George was hijacked while intoxicated after touching the substance. The driver warns people not to touch the white dust smeared on the driver’s side or anywhere else on the vehicle. According to the voice message, it is an anesthetic. The criminals strike and rob the driver and hijack the vehicle while the driver is drugged.
