The KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison, Mr Mxolisi Kaunda will today, during the World AIDS Day, lead the World Aids Day Commemoration to remember those who are infected and affected by the HIV and AIDS in Ulundi.
December 1 is observed as World Aids Day to raise awareness about HIV and AIDS. Tomorrow will mark 20 years of government’s efforts to address the pandemic and Kaunda will outline the relentless efforts of the provincial government over the last two decades in reducing the spread of the virus.
During the event, Kaunda will also hand over a bakkie to a women farming co-operative that he committed to during the International Mandela Day. The vehicle will assist members of the co-operative to transport their produce to markets.
